A Message from
the Author

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, providing us with “everything we need for life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3, NIV). However, it doesn’t tell every story or reveal the emotions that accompanied the events of ancient times. For instance, can you imagine Peter and John being stoic and unaffected when the Lord healed the lame beggar through them? (Acts 3).

“A House Shaken” imagines the untold details and emotions surrounding the birth of the early church as described in Acts 1 through 9. Some stories provide a ‘behind-the-scenes’ perspective on real biblical events, while others are fictional accounts designed to deepen our understanding of the thoughts, struggles, and triumphs of the early disciples.
